The deal

By using HabitatLab you agree to these terms. HabitatLab is provided by OTECH Labs LLC. If you're under 13, a parent or legal guardian must agree on your behalf.

Your account

Keep your login safe. One person per account. Don't impersonate others or use a real full name — HabitatLab blocks real-name display for kid safety.

Public competition, handles, and kids

HabitatLab includes optional public competition: state and USA leaderboards and public explorer profiles. Public boards display an explorer handle and home state, plus score and rank stats, not your legal name, face, email, street address, ZIP, or precise GPS.

• Solo and adult accounts may appear on public boards by default until the account holder goes private in settings.
• Family child seats remain private by default and must not be placed on public boards except by a parent or guardian who expressly enables public ranking for that seat.
• If you are under 13, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms and must use a family child seat, not a solo or adult account.
• Do not use a real full name as your handle. We may remove or rename handles that appear to be legal names or that create safety risk.
• You grant HabitatLab a limited license to store, verify, and display your photos and play stats in-app and, if your account is public, on HabitatLab public leaderboards and public profile pages on habitatlab.app.

Fair play

• Take photos of real wildlife you actually see, outside.
• No photos of photos, screens, taxidermy, or captive-only staged shots.
• No harassment or unsafe behavior in the pursuit of a catch.
• Never disturb wildlife, trespass, or approach animals dangerously.

We may remove catches, coins, or accounts that break these rules.

Purchases

Pro subscriptions renew until canceled. Cancel anytime in your Stripe billing portal from Upgrade → Manage. Digital cosmetics (frames, effects, titles) are non-refundable once applied.

Content you upload

You keep ownership of your photos. You grant HabitatLab a limited license to store, verify, and display them inside the app (leaderboards, your Living Dex) and, if your account is public, on HabitatLab public leaderboards and public profile pages on habitatlab.app.

Termination

You may delete your account anytime from Profile → Delete Account.
